Kapil Reesaul has more than 30 years’ experience in the Telecom and ICT sector, gained throughout his leadership roles at Mauritius Telecom and internationally.

He holds a Postgraduate degree (DESS) in Cable Networking Engineering with specialisation in Fibre Optics from Lille University of Science & Technology (France), as well as a Master’s degree (Maîtrise) in Electronics and Automation from the same university. He also completed an MBA in General Management from Midrand Graduate Institute (South Africa), now known as the Pearson Institute.

At Mauritius Telecom, he occupied key senior management positions as Chief Customer Experience Officer (2015-2016), Executive Head Commercial (2012- 2015) and Senior Executive Business Market (2007-2012). Previously, he had been General Manager of Telecom Plus (Mauritius Telecom’s ISP pioneer company), General Manager of Call Services Ltd (the call-centre arm of MT) and Managing Director of Southern Telecom (Pty) Ltd in South Africa (1998-2000). During this time, he contributed significantly to the development of MT commercially and, among others, to the launching of the Nortel and Cisco range of PABX, FTTH & IPTV services, and to mobile postpaid and data offers.

From 2016 to 2022, he held a key managerial position at the Royal Bank of Canada in Toronto. He was appointed as CEO of Mauritius Telecom Group with effect from 1stAugust 2022.

Michel Degland holds a Master’s degree from HEC School of Management in Paris and has over 30 years’ international experience in the telecommunications and ICT industries. Prior to joining Mauritius Telecom, he was CEO of Orange Madagascar and Chairman of Orange Money Madagascar for five years, during which time he successfully implemented a turnaround strategy, launching 4G and broadband services, and developing innovative mobile money and energy services.

From 2009 to 2016 he led SoftAtHome, a software company dedicated to the digital home, introducing IoT news services for its telecommunications and utilities customers, such as the Orange Group, Etisalat, Swisscom and Direct Energy. Previous to that, he held the post of COO in Viaccess, a digital content protection company from 1998 to 2008.

While in Madagascar, Michel Degland was decorated Chevalier de l’Ordre National Malagasy.He is also an advisor on French international trade. Michel was appointed as MT’s Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer in October 2021.

Yagianath Rosunee holds a Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrotechnics and Automation applied to Instrumentation from the University of Grenoble- Alpes (France), as well as a Master’s in Business Administration.

During his 38 years at MT, Yagianath has held various technical and commercial (B2B and Wholesale) leadership positions. He has participated actively in the transformation of MT from being voice only to a technology-centric Company. Amongst his main achievements are the introduction of a national public data network (1993), Internet services (1996) and broadband ADSL services (2002). In his capacity as Head of B2B Services and Wholesale Markets, he spearheaded the implementation of game-changing Managed Global WAN and Global IP services. These ground-breaking initiatives not only catalysed the ascent of the ICT sector as the formidable fifth pillar of the economy but also facilitated the strategic relocation of ITES/BPO activities to Mauritius, thereby propelling the nation into a hub of international business prowess. He was thereafter entrusted with the All-IP Transformation programme that laid down the foundations for a converged fixed, mobile, broadband and IPTV backbone as well as the migration of services from copper to fibre.

In his present post as Chief Technical Officer of MT Group, Yagianath’s mission is to ensure that MT has a highly reliable and trusted network infrastructure that will support the needs of a digital economy. Yagianath Rosunee aims to fortify MT’s technological backbone, poised to support the ever-evolving needs of a thriving digital economy through a highly reliable and trusted network infrastructure.

Girish Guddoy holds a Master Degree with specialisation in Finance as well as a Bachelor Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Birmingham, UK.

Girish has over 2 decades of technical experience. Transitioning to a managerial role, he assumed responsibility for overseeing the operations of my.t's mobile network until he was appointed as Head of Network Strategy and Development where, he led the strategic evolution of mobile, ISP, and transmission networks, showcasing his adeptness at driving forward-thinking initiatives within the telecommunications sphere.

Girish was subsequently appointed as Chief Technical Officer and Chief Customer Experience and Service Officer. He is currently the Chief Customer Service Officer.

Teswaree Kisto Heerah holds a Master of Science in Cyber Forensics and Information Security from the University of Madras, India.

With more than 15 years of cyber leadership experience in multiple industries internationally, Teswaree has worked closely with C-suite and Boards to define successful cyber strategies, develop effective cyber-risk quantification models, lead technology enablement, measure cyber resilience indices within sectors such as telecommunications, finance, hospitality, nuclear power plant, smart and cognitive cities, and the marine and logistic industries.

She is an advocate for profound reflection on a safer digital world and its ethical implications. Within the MT Group, she also leads the cybersecurity and data-protection regulation and compliance, and raises awareness to promote a cybersecurity culture and enhance stakeholder engagement and vendor management.

She focuses on organisational resilience and managing change through building trusted relationships at all levels.

Neeraj Mounien holds a Postgraduate degree in Computer Science from London Guildhall University and an MBA from Poitiers University, France. He has more than 25 years’ experience as a professional helping business in their digital transformation journeys. He had worked for eight years at Microsoft Indian Ocean Islands and French Pacific as Business Development Manager commercialising ICT solutions in the corporate and public sectors in Mauritius and the region.

As Chief Enterprise Solutions Officer, his mission is to drive the Solution Development and Deployment for the B2B market growth.

Bilal holds a Bachelor’s in Commerce and an MBA from QAU International University, Pakistan. In his role as CMO, Bilal leads a passionate team responsible for bringing consumer products and services together into cohesive, integrated and seamless customer value propositions. He oversees the full product portfolios including design and GTM plans across mobility, home Internet and TV, device and loyalty bundles.

He brings over 27 years of commercial management experience in retail, banking, marketing and tech. Bilal’s primary focus is to enrich customer’s lives by delivering a purpose driven and experience based brand across various product suites, verticals and revenue streams. He also leads the company brand and communication initiatives, and is responsible for enhancing the digital entertainment business through OTT, content partnership and syndication.

Abdelhedi Dimassi holds an Engineering degree and a Master of Science from the École Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications de Paris.He also holds a Master’s in Corporate Finance from IAE Paris-Sorbonne.

He has 20 years’ experience in the telecommunications sector where he started his career as a consultant in the ITN field and evolved to management roles on dimensioning, cost efficiency, M&A, and financial controlling.

Prior to joining Mauritius Telecom, Abdelhedi Dimassi was the Financial Controlling Director of Orange Jordan from 2020 to 2023 and Globecast France from 2017 to 2020.

Khoymil Goburdhun is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered and Certified Accountants (UK) and a Certified Internal Auditor from the Institute of Internal Auditors (US). He also has a Master’s degree in Business Administration with a specialisation in Marketing from the University of Mauritius.

With more than 25 years’ experience in the telecommunications sector, Khoymil has served in various management positions within the Group and was the Finance and Administration Manager of Telecom Plus from 1996 to 2001. He is a member of the Mauritius Institute of Directors, the Mauritius Institute of Professional Accountants and a founder member and past president of the Institute of Internal Auditors Mauritius.

Avinash Soobul has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communications with specialisation in the mobile and networking fields from the University of Mauritius. He has over 20 years’ of hands-on experience in the field of ICT and Telecommunications within the MT Group. He is well acquainted with the deployment and operation of the mobile and broadband network and ICT-related services.

Avinash has led various strategic projects ranging from value-added services and mobile prepaid projects for Mauritius Telecom. From 2015 to 2017, he headed the special project team for the implementation of various strategic projects.

He is now leading the innovation team which is responsible for all digitalisation projects and software development within the Mauritius Telecom group. He focuses on the strategy for bringing new technologies, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence solutions into the company in order to provide digital accessibility for all services across all channels.

Viren Bissoonauth holds a Master’s degree in Management International (MMI) from the University of Phoenix, Arizona (USA) and a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Acadia University (Canada). He has over three decades of experience in the ICT sector, ranging from pioneering and managing complex IT Solutions to cloud-based applications. He has held various senior positions in the private sector both locally and internationally in countries like France, Djibouti and Algeria, and acted as consultant for various projects worldwide.

He has been driving the Information System Department as Chief Information Officer and is the Chairman of SME Mauritius.

Deenavallee Ramasawmy holds an LLB and an LLM in International and Commercial Law from the University of Greenwich and a Postgraduate diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from the University of London. She is a barrister-at-law and member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple and the Mauritius Bar Association.

Prior to joining Mauritius Telecom in 2014, she honed her skills as a barrister working in diverse sectors including ICT, commercial law, banking law, employment law and criminal law. She also provided guidance and oversight on licensing agreements, contracts, disputes, litigation risks and maintaining compliance across Mauritius Telecom and its subsidiaries. She also assisted management with legal matters related to the company and regularly represented Mauritius Telecom in engagements with regulatory bodies and key external stakeholders.

Deenavallee has been entrusted with the role of Chief Corporate, Legal and Regulatory Affairs Officer to manage the Corporate, Legal and Regulatory Department to implement a comprehensive corporate, legal & regulatory strategy which would enable the achievement of the Company’s vision and mission by delivering the results required by the stakeholders, thereby creating shareholders’ value. She will advise the Board of Directors, Group Executive Committee, and the Company’s stakeholders on any major legal, corporate and regulatory issues the company confronts, such as litigation risks.

Since 01st May 2024 Deenavallee has been appointed as Chief Corporate, Legal and Regulatory Affairs Officer.

Kavi is a seasoned Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) with over two decades of exposure both locally and internationally in the corporate world. Kavi had his footprints in conglomerates. He holds a Master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Edith Cowan University, Australia.

As a strategic HR leader, driving organizational transformation, Kavi is always in the pursue to deliver innovative HR solutions aligning with business goals enhancing employee experience and optimizing workforce performance. As an award-winning HR professional, recognized with the prestigious Young HR Professional Award, Kavi holds a strong commitment towards excellence in human resources management, earning accolades for pioneering HR practices and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. He is also the founder of a think tank with business and academic leaders to cultivate tomorrow’s leaders.

Kavi has been entrusted with the responsibilities as being a strategic leader who will champion a culture of excellence & innovation. Kavi will drive the transformation exercise and the Digital HR agenda.

Kavi is appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer since 01st June 2024.

Sanjeeven holds a first-class Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Madras (India) and also possesses a Diploma in Software Engineering from Aptech Computer Education. With over a decade of executive leadership experience in the Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) sector, Sanjeeven is currently serving as the General Manager of CSL, a wholly-owned subsidiary within the Mauritius Telecom Group.

Operating at the forefront of organizational strategy and development, Sanjeeven has embarked on CSL’s transformation and enhancement, including the implementation of a robust growth strategy targeting both the B2B and B2C markets. By driving sustainable growth and fostering innovation within CSL, Sanjeeven endeavours to make substantial contributions towards the Group’s expansion goals.

Nishi Munbodh Mohun is a graduate in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the University of Melbourne (Australia). She also holds an MBA with specialisation in Marketing from the University of Leicester (UK) and is a certified lead implementer, auditor and registered coordinator for a number of international quality, lean management, customer service, security management, environmental and business continuity standards.

She has had over 20 years’ experience in the telecommunications business within Mauritius Telecom in sectors including network operations, customer services, quality management, customer journey, process re-engineering, customer experience management and digital transformation.

She served in various managerial roles ranging from Manager Quality and Processes to Head of Customer Journey and Quality Improvement. She has been leading the Customer Experience department and has implemented a number of customer-centric and service strategies and initiatives. Several of the initiatives have been recognised in international and national award schemes. In her role as Head of Customer Experience, she is entrusted with the responsibilities of delivering an unmatched customer experience and leading customer-service digital transformation.

Raj holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Leicester University and is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Raj is a financial expert with over two decades of experience in diverse markets, both locally and internationally. His extensive career includes key leadership roles in prominent telecommunications companies, where he has driven financial strategy, managed large-scale financial operations, and delivered significant business value.

Raj is responsible for developing a comprehensive and transparent procurement strategy and process. He also oversees its implementation to ensure the company achieves its vision and mission thereby creating value for shareholders.

Raj is appointed as Head of Procurement since 01st May 2024.
