Yagianath Rosunee

Yagianath Rosunee holds a Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrotechnics and Automation applied to Instrumentation from the University of Grenoble- Alpes (France), as well as a Master’s in Business Administration.
During his 38 years at MT, Yagianath has held various technical and commercial (B2B and Wholesale) leadership positions. He has participated actively in the transformation of MT from being voice only to a technology-centric Company. Amongst his main achievements are the introduction of a national public data network (1993), Internet services (1996) and broadband ADSL services (2002). In his capacity as Head of B2B Services and Wholesale Markets, he spearheaded the implementation of game-changing Managed Global WAN and Global IP services. These ground-breaking initiatives not only catalysed the ascent of the ICT sector as the formidable fifth pillar of the economy but also facilitated the strategic relocation of ITES/BPO activities to Mauritius, thereby propelling the nation into a hub of international business prowess. He was thereafter entrusted with the All-IP Transformation programme that laid down the foundations for a converged fixed, mobile, broadband and IPTV backbone as well as the migration of services from copper to fibre.
In his present post as Chief Technical Officer of MT Group, Yagianath’s mission is to ensure that MT has a highly reliable and trusted network infrastructure that will support the needs of a digital economy. Yagianath Rosunee aims to fortify MT’s technological backbone, poised to support the ever-evolving needs of a thriving digital economy through a highly reliable and trusted network infrastructure.

Michel Degland
Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer
Michel Degland holds a Master’s degree from HEC School of Management in Paris and has over 30 years’ international experience in the telecommunications and ICT industries. Prior to joining Mauritius Telecom, he was CEO of Orange Madagascar and Chairman of Orange Money Madagascar for five years, during which time he successfully implemented a turnaround strategy, launching 4G and broadband services, and developing innovative mobile money and energy services.
From 2009 to 2016 he led SoftAtHome, a software company dedicated to the digital home, introducing IoT news services for its telecommunications and utilities customers, such as the Orange Group, Etisalat, Swisscom and Direct Energy. Previous to that, he held the post of COO in Viaccess, a digital content protection company from 1998 to 2008.
While in Madagascar, Michel Degland was decorated Chevalier de l’Ordre National Malagasy.He is also an advisor on French international trade. Michel was appointed as MT’s Deputy Chief Executive and Chief Operating Officer in October 2021.

Girish Guddoy holds a Master Degree with specialisation in Finance as well as a Bachelor Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Birmingham, UK.
Girish has over 2 decades of technical experience. Transitioning to a managerial role, he assumed responsibility for overseeing the operations of my.t's mobile network until he was appointed as Head of Network Strategy and Development where, he led the strategic evolution of mobile, ISP, and transmission networks, showcasing his adeptness at driving forward-thinking initiatives within the telecommunications sphere.
Girish was subsequently appointed as Chief Technical Officer and Chief Customer Experience and Service Officer. He is currently the Chief Customer Service Officer.

Teswaree Kisto Heerah holds a Master of Science in Cyber Forensics and Information Security from the University of Madras, India.
With more than 15 years of cyber leadership experience in multiple industries internationally, Teswaree has worked closely with C-suite and Boards to define successful cyber strategies, develop effective cyber-risk quantification models, lead technology enablement, measure cyber resilience indices within sectors such as telecommunications, finance, hospitality, nuclear power plant, smart and cognitive cities, and the marine and logistic industries.
She is an advocate for profound reflection on a safer digital world and its ethical implications. Within the MT Group, she also leads the cybersecurity and data-protection regulation and compliance, and raises awareness to promote a cybersecurity culture and enhance stakeholder engagement and vendor management.

Avinash Soobul

Avinash Soobul has a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics and Communications with specialisation in the mobile and networking fields from the University of Mauritius. Deenavallee Pillay Ramasawmy

Deenavallee Ramasawmy holds an LLB and an LLM in International and Commercial Law from the University of Greenwich and a Postgraduate diploma in International Commercial Arbitration from the University of London. She is a barrister-at-law and member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple and the Mauritius Bar Association.
Prior to joining Mauritius Telecom in 2014, she honed her skills as a barrister working in diverse sectors including ICT, commercial law, banking law, employment law and criminal law. She also provided guidance and oversight on licensing agreements, contracts, disputes, litigation risks and maintaining compliance across Mauritius Telecom and its subsidiaries. She also assisted management with legal matters related to the company and regularly represented Mauritius Telecom in engagements with regulatory bodies and key external stakeholders.
Deenavallee has been entrusted with the role of Chief Corporate, Legal and Regulatory Affairs Officer to manage the Corporate, Legal and Regulatory Department to implement a comprehensive corporate, legal & regulatory strategy which would enable the achievement of the Company’s vision and mission by delivering the results required by the stakeholders, thereby creating shareholders’ value. She will advise the Board of Directors, Group Executive Committee, and the Company’s stakeholders on any major legal, corporate and regulatory issues the company confronts, such as litigation risks.
